Adam Wilson, Non-Executive Chairman (aged 38)
Adam Wilson holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Management. He qualified as a barrister before joining NM Rothschild in 1994 as a graduate trainee. He subsequently moved to LCF Rothschild, specialising in equity derivative and structured product sales. In 1997 he joined Teather & Greenwood where he became Head of Derivatives before joining Hichens, Harrison in 2003. He was appointed Managing Director of Hichens, Harrison in October 2004 (now Religare Hichens Harrison plc). Adam is an associate member of the Institute of Investment Management and Research and a member of the Securities Institute as well as being a certified FFAS financial analyst.

Ken Ford, Non-Executive Director (aged 59)
Ken Ford has an Economics degree and over 35 years of experience in the City. From 1993 he worked at Landsbanki (formerly Teather & Greenwood) serving as Head of Corporate Finance, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and latterly as Deputy Chairman until retirement in 2007. Prior to this he worked as a director at Aberdeen Asset Management and served for seven years as a director at Morgan Grenfell as Head of Research and Head of Corporate Finance at Morgan Grenfell Securities. Ken is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and on the executive committee of the Quoted Companies Alliance.

Max Crosland Non-Executive Director (aged 55)
Max Crosland has over 30 years experience in the coal sector, holding Director level positions for the past 20 years. Max has been involved in all aspects of opencast and underground mining, coal preparation & marketing in the UK & USA. More recently he has been involved in the power generation sector, heading up international coal and biomass procurement and logistics for UK electricity generation companies, and in new-build biomass power station site procurement & development. He is currently the Head of Coal & Logistics for Welsh Power Group Limited.

Toby David Howell, Non-Executive Director (aged 32)
Toby David Howell began his career in the Equities division at UBS Warburg in London and went on to help manage the investment division of Internet Business Group plc. Since then he has specialised in smaller companies’ corporate finance, undertaking transactions on the Official List and AIM as well as private equity transactions. He is a director of Blomfield Corporate Finance Limited, a subsidiary of Hichens, Harrison & Co plc and non-executive director of MN Specialty Steels Limited (the UK holding company for a controlling stake in a steelworks with 1,500 employees). Additionally he is a non-executive director of AIM quoted Cue Energy plc, and non-executive chairman of PLUS quoted Fairholt Resources plc. Toby David Howell is an officer in the Territorial Army and served on operations in Iraq during 2004.

Dr Peter Chinneck, Non-Executive Director (aged 51)
Dr. Peter Chinneck trained in Medicine at the University of Southampton before joining the Royal Medical Army Corps in 1980. He served as a Regimental Medical Officer, reaching the rank of Major before leaving the Army in 1990 to pursue a career in aviation. He has over 17 years experience as a commercial pilot flying commercial, freighter and air ambulance services.

Stephen Best, Managing Director (aged 50)
Stephen Best is the Managing Director of the Stockton Coal Group. He has over 25 years experience in opencast coal mining in the United Kingdom and the USA. Stephen Best started his career as a Junior Engineer in 1976 for projects under the National Coal Board Opencast Executive. In 1979 he became a site acquisition manager for H.J. Banks Limited, responsible for the negotiation and identification of opencast coal sites throughout the UK. In 1984 he moved to Loumont Construction Limited (a subsidiary of SGB plc), as site acquisition manager responsible for the formation of a private opencast mining division in the UK. Since the late 1980’s Stephen Best has been involved in the formation and operation of a number of private companies specialising in the acquisition of opencast coal mines and property development opportunities, including the construction of several new hotels in the United Kingdom.

Raymond John Petrilla, Executive Director (aged 56)
Raymond John Petrilla has been the Chief Financial Officer of the Stockton Coal Group since 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University, has passed the uniform certified public accountant examination and has attended the Program for Management Development at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. Prior to joining the Stockton Coal Group Raymond John Petrilla gained 16 years of experience in the Pennsylvanian anthracite industry. From 1984 until 1990 he managed treasury, accounting and management information systems for the Reading Anthracite Company and was involved in the Schuylkill Energy Resources, Inc. project to construct an 80 Mega Watt electric power producer using anthracite coal as fuel. From 1990 to 2000 Raymond John Petrilla was responsible for financial planning, reporting and budgeting at the Leigh Coal and Navigation Company, where he was also involved in strategic planning for anthracite production and marketing. In 2000 he joined the Standard Energy Corporation in Utah where he developed the marketing and environmental plan for a $240 million energy project.

Gregory Kuenzel, Finance Director and Company Secretary (aged 37)
Greg Kuenzel is a chartered accountant with over 12 years experience in accounting and finance. After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Degree from Edith Cowan University he joined the audit and corporate services division of Howarth Perth Chartered Accountants where he specialised in the resource and venture capital sectors. During this time he was seconded to the New York office of Berdon LLP, as Audit Manager for one of the city’s largest property development groups. From 2003 to 2004 Greg Kuenzel was involved in establishing the London Office of Global Education Management Systems, a company managing a network of international schools throughout the UK, USA and United Arab Emirates. From 2005 to 2006 he was responsible for the UK based international financial accounting team of Thomson Scientific Limited, an information solutions provider, with global group revenues exceeding US$1 billion. His role included implementing new financial processes, specifically focusing on the expansion of the Thomson Group, assisting with Sarbanes Oxley related projects and analysing accounting differences between US and UK GAAP.
